Story: Can Glowing ‘Ray Cats’ Save Humanity?

About: Three-part illustration series for a story about cats genetically engineered to glow when exposed to radiation to warn future generations about nuclear waste sites. One suggestion for deterring explorers thousands of years from now was the message, “this place is not a place of honor… no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here… nothing valued is here”. To work, these warnings would need to become an unquestioned part of human existence, perhaps through the establishment of an “atomic priesthood.” These two supporting illustrations appeared online, alongside with the main illustration.
